Sudoku For Project Managers !

This was a description of the Prince2 practitioner exam by one of my students yesterday whilst we were doing exam preparation questions. A fair comment, given that we had just been going through the techniques to deal with possibly the hardest style of question the exam poses.
For those not aware, the Prince 2 Practitioner exam is a multi choice exam that tests the students knowledge in applying Prince 2 to a given scenario. Now there may be some ‘old school’ practitioners who took the exam back in the days when it was a written exam who are thinking – multi choice , how hard can that be. Well, for starters, it is not a standard multi choice exam ie pick 1 from4 answers and I have had several previous students describe it as the ‘hardest multi choice exam’ they have ever seen. I even had 1 recent student from ‘the old school’ who was re-certifying say – ” It is definitely harder now, as you have to be very precise with your answers “. That’s not to say that it is impossible to pass. Far from it, but in order to have the best chance of success, you will need not only the right level of knowledge but also the right techniques to tackle the variety of question styles.
Core aims of our Practitioner course, therefore, are not only to provide students with the requisite knowledge of Prince 2, but also to explain in detail the right techniques required to tackle the different styles of questions they will encounter in the Practitioner exam and consequently equip them to achieve maximum success.
We may not be Sudoku masters, (though I do enjoy the puzzles too) but we know a thing or two about how to achieve success in the Prince 2 Practitioner exam.
